About This Ruger Mark IV ModMount
The ModMount system separates firearm fit from optic fit. A receiver-specific base attaches to the Ruger Mark IV, and a compatible optic-side mount carries the optic footprint.
How the Two-Part System Works
The base has a recessed oval interface with two M4 screw locations. The optic-side mount has a matching oval stud that seats in the base, and two flat-head M4 screws secure the parts together. Any ModMount optic-side mount can be used with any ModMount base.
Optional vertical and 45-degree offset spacers install between the base and optic-side mount to raise or reposition the optic. Spacers are sold separately unless otherwise stated.
Compatibility
This line uses a receiver base for the standard three-hole Ruger Mark IV pattern. Choose the complete mount that matches your optic footprint.
- Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite models 43946, 43947, and 43948 use the Riton-Equipped Ruger Mark IV mounts.
- Silencer Shop Exclusive models 40179, 40181, 40182, 40186, and 40193 use the Silencer Shop Exclusive Ruger Mark IV mounts.
Installation Notes
Unload the firearm and remove the factory rail or other mount. Secure the receiver base with the supplied two #6-48 x 1/8 flat-head screws. Seat the optic-side mount, or an optional spacer and optic-side mount, in the oval interface and secure the assembly with two flat-head M4 screws.
Attach the optic and dry-fit the assembly before final installation. Confirm that no optic screw protrudes through the optic-side mount far enough to contact or scratch the receiver.
Follow the Ruger Mark IV installation instructions for the complete screw-length check, torque values, and optional thread locker adjustment.
